When Ryan Smiles Are Free Hardy was growing up in a large Italian family, music was his escape from

life. He was the only one in his family that was involved in music, but this didn’t stop him from teaching himself how to write, sing, and play guitar. Ryan’s first music teacher was his friend who would play at gatherings, and Ryan would take mental notes of his finger placements and chord progressions. After teaching himself the basics, he started to write his own music, which has now turned into a successful career.

Ryan’s music consists of his life experiences and consists of every genre from hip hop to rock to metal to country. His creative process is unique in that he doesn’t write down lyrics, but freestyles them when he is in the booth. His main inspiration comes from his life and the things he has been through, and he hopes to share this with his fans.

Ryan has received a lot of support from his hometown and his community, and he has been the only

person to ever have a different song on three radio stations. He has played 19 times live on the radio and has wrapped up his pop/hip hop album, which will be released in March 2023.

When Ryan is performing, his mission is to get the crowd involved in every song. He believes it is important to learn, study and understand old music and music history, and he hopes to collaborate with other artists in the future. His typical day consists of him checking emails, updating his website, and working on his music. He also balances his other obligations, such as being a dad, and his typical weekend consists of playing shows and recording material.

Social media has changed the music industry significantly, and Ryan believes it has helped independent artists tremendously. He knows what he is doing and makes a game plan and sticks to it, which has led to his successful career.
